Ford 1.0 EcoBoost engines are among the most widely used three-cylinder engines in recent years. Despite their modern design, they often experience wear of key components in practice, particularly the crankshaft and related engine parts.
An important design feature of the crankshaft is the precisely defined notch on the counterweight, which is used for correct positioning with a special installation tool and ensures accurate installation into the engine.
ET Engineteam therefore offers a comprehensive solution in the form of a standalone crankshaft as well as complete BoxET - service kits, which significantly simplify engine repairs.
The HK0223 crankshaft is designed for Ford vehicles with 1.0 EcoBoost engines from 2012 onwards. It is a key engine component responsible for transferring power from the pistons to other parts of the drivetrain.
