We recommend using of new connecting rod bolts each time you install the connecting rods. Always follow the tightening torque specified by the engine manufacturer. A slightly tightened screw can get loosened and conversely, an overtightened screw may break. In both cases, serious engine damage can occur.
The connecting rod bolts are subjected to large variable loads, for example during frequent operation at high revs. Therefore, when replacing bearings, do not take a risk of using the old screws. Always take the new ones.
