Control valve of camshaft adjustment functions:
During the command of the engine control unit for camshaft adjustment the electromagnetic field will change and it will start affecting the control valve, which will open the way for the oil to get to one of the camshaft adjuster chambers. The result of this operation is change of the adjustment of the camshaft. Position of the camshaft will change (mostly by 30° or 60° - depending on type of the engine or car...), which will affect the opening and closing time and duration of valve itself
- Benefits: Higher power while higher operation, less fuel consumption while lower speed
- Notifications and malfunctions: If the malfunction will occur during the adjustment of the camshaft on some of the components, OBD diagnostics can warn about the error in time.
