These pumps are essential components of all-wheel-drive systems, providing the hydraulic pressure required to operate the multi-plate clutch. The range includes four variants designed for selected Volkswagen Group vehicles and other manufacturers, including Ford, Land Rover, Volvo and Opel.
⚙️ How Does the Haldex Clutch Work?
In vehicles equipped with this system, the front axle is primarily driven under normal driving conditions. When required, the rear axle is also engaged via a hydraulic clutch.
The electric oil pump generates pressure that presses the individual clutch plates together. By regulating this pressure, the system determines how much torque is transferred to the other axle.

🔧 Important Information When Replacing the Pump
Problems with the oil pump may be related to contaminated oil. To ensure proper operation and cooling of the clutch, it is important to follow the vehicle manufacturer's instructions, particularly:
- Regular replacement of the oil and filter according to the manufacturer's service instructions.
- Bleeding the oil circuit after installing the pump to ensure that the system is properly filled with oil.
