We have recently added crankcase breather oil separators for you. The new CB00xx line contains 16 new items. For BMW 3 / 1 / 5, Audi Arosa / Passat / Bora / Polo / Leon, Škoda Octavia / Fabia / Superb, Mercedes-Benz Sprinter / C-Class / E-Class and many more. For N46 B20 A, N52 B25 A, M47 D20 (204D4), AUA, BBY, BXW, ARZ, AUM, OM 646.701, OM 612.966, OM 646.982 and other engines.
What is an oil separator? The main function is to separate oil from water. Gases and vapours, which also contain oil, are present in the crankcase. The oil separator vents these gases and vapours and cleans them from the oil residue. The oil returns to the crankcase and the gases and vapours are vented away via the throttle body.
Oil separators can get clogged which may lead to high crankcase pressure. Oil may then appear in various places, for example at an oil dipstick.
Oil separators ensure lower oil consumption in the engine and thus help meet strict Euro standards.
